Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is looking at Kaizer Chiefs attacking midfielder Keagan Dolly to play a meaningful role in the national team.
Dolly is one of the players in the Bafana Bafana squad preparing for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Thursday and Ghana in Cape Coast next Sunday. Both matches are going to start at 21h00.
“The reason he’s here it’s because he’s playing good otherwise he wouldn’t be here. I know he’s very confident at the moment,” Broos said.
“With the qualities he has, he can help us. I hope he can keep his shape and will be as very important for us in those two games. I’m happy that he’s back.”
Dolly, meanwhile, is excited to be back in the Bafana Bafana fold and hopes to play a massive role in the national team.
“Obviously, I’m excited to be back. You can see the boys are really excited. They are up for the challenge. And for me, it’s always good to represent the country. The past few games I’ve been enjoying myself. I’ve been scoring goals. It’s always good coming to camp with confidence. I will help where I can,” Dolly said.
