Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rulani Mokwena regards Swallows FC as formidable opponents.
The Brazilians face the Dube Birds in a top of the table clash at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday (15h00).
This DStv Premiership encounter pits two teams that are yet to lose this season. Both Sundowns and Swallows have accumulated 26 points each after winning seven times and drawing five matches with the Brazilians being on top of the standings because of a superior goal difference.
“It’s an interesting team with some young and energetic players. The opposition is good and it’s a team with winning momentum carried through from campaigning in the First Division,” Mokwena said.
“It’s a game we understand we have to play very well to win. They’ve got nothing to lose that’s why they play with bravery. It’s a team that has s clear profile.”
The Brazilians go to this match without most of their rearguard personnel, who are out injured.
Ricardo Nascimento, Lyle Lakay, Bangaly Soumahoro, Khuliso Mudau and Brian Onyango are nursing an assortment of injuries.
“We’ve got a huge hospital ward, these are the problems we have. We will improvise, we will find solutions,” Mokwena said.
