Swallows FC’s woes continued when they were beaten 3-1 by Kaizer Chiefs in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.
After attacking for some time, Swallows conceded two minutes before half-time following Keagan Dolly’s goal, which gave Amakhosi the lead. Dolly scored from a neat Khama Billiat pass.
The goal spurred on Amakhosi as Billiat made it 2-0 following a cross from Ramahlwe Mphahlele on the stroke of half-time.
Billiat completed his brace after he cut through the Swallows defence before beating Jody February in the Dube Birds goals to make it 3-0.
Swallows captain Lebohang Mokoena pulled one back for the Dube Birds to make it 3-1 in the 63rd minute.
Chiefs have, as a result of the win, moved to second place with 22 points from 13 matches. They are eight points behind log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have played a game less.
