Mandla Ntlanganiso, who is originally from Mdantsane, has been appointed as the new Boxing South Africa (BSA) director of operations effective from 1 January 2022.
The position became vacant after Cindy Nkomo, who is serving notice until the end of this month, resigned from BSA. Nkomo also resigned as acting BSA chief executive officer.
Cape Town-based Ntlanganiso is a former BSA board member having served between 2011 and 2014. Ntlanganiso will now have to resign as a member of the BSA sanctioning committee.
The position of director of operations was once held by former South African champion Loyiso Mtya before he became BSA’s acting CEO.
