Chippa United caretaker coach Kurt Lentjies believes that a half a loaf is better than no bread after the Chilli Boys were held to a goalless draw by Sekhukhune United in a DStv Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Wednesday.
The win meant that the Chilli Boys are unbeaten in their last four matches and have collected six points in the process.
“Obviously, we wanted maximum points when we play at home. Home and away, we want to win every footbalI match,” Lentjies said.
“We created numerous chances, especially in the second half. We did everything. Let’s take this point, let’s appreciate what God has given us.”
Meanwhile, it doesn’t look like Lentjies will add more players to his team during the January transfer window.
“I’m happy with the group we have. Every group there will obviously be room to improve to get better players in certain positions. But that’s not my focus,” Lentjies said.
“I’m happy to work with the group even if no players come through the door in January when the window opens. I’m committed to this group, I love working with them, they love working with me.”
