GladAfrica side Bizana Pondo Chiefs have fired their coach Tshepo Motsoeneng because of poor results.
The former Chippa United and Santos goalkeeper helped the side gain promotion from the ABC Motsepe League to the GladAfrica Championship. But he found going tougher in the GladAfrica Championship.
“The decision to part ways with coach Motsoeneng was not an easy decision. He has served the club well with loyalty and it is sad that we have to part ways,” Chiefs chairman Nkosinathi Mqokiyana said.
“Motsoeneng has a rich history in helping the club gain promotion to GladAfrica Championship together with our players, who contributed immensely. It is now time for the club to be led by somebody else.”
Julius Dube, who was recently appointed as assistant coach, is now the club’s caretaker coach.
