Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt can breathe again after Amakhosi beat Petro de Luanda from Angola 2-0 in a Group C CAF Champions League clash at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec on Saturday evening.
Mulomowandau Mathoho opened the scoring for Chiefs in the 30th minute. Amakhosi’s second goal came from Happy Mashiane in the 79th minute.
The win is a sort of redemption for Chiefs, who were humiliated 4-0 by Moroccan side Wydad Athletic Club in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, last weekend.
