Chippa United striker Augustine Kwem is dying to help the struggling Chilli Boys move up the DStv Premiership standings.
Kwem is expected to lead the Chilli Boys attack when they visit fellow strugglers Maritzburg United in a six pointer at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday (17h00).
“It’s really going to be a tough game. It’s a must win. We are going there with a mentality to win so that we can give ourselves a little bit of space from the team beneath us,” Kwem said.
“This is a cup final for us. We trained very hard this week. We are hoping for the best against Maritzburg. We are going to use every strategy we can think of to win the game.”
The Chilli Boys are 13th on the Premiership table with 17 points off 20 matches. On the other hand, the Team of Choice, who are 14th, also have 17 points having played a game less than the Chilli Boys.
Gqeberha-based Chilli Boys have not won a match since their 3-0 victory over Black Leopards in January while the Team of Choice beat TS Galaxy 2-0 away before the FIFA break.
