Maritzburg United earned three valuable points when they defeated Lamontville Golden Arrows 3-2 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. 
The Team of Choice took the lead through Phumlani Ntshangase in the 32nd minute. The goal came after the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands club’s continuous forays into the Abafana Bes’thende box. 
Team of Choice top goalscorer and captain Thabiso Kutumela scored his 12th goal of the season when he made it 2-0 in the 57th minute. A minute later Michael Gumede halved the deficit. 
The Team of Choice were not done yet as Bongokuhle Hlongwane made it 3-1 in the 62nd minute. 
Both sides continued to launch attacks and Arrows were rewarded with a penalty, which  was converted by Nduduzo Sibiya in the 83rd minute. 
Meanwhile, Black Leopards held Chippa United to a goalless draw at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha while the match between Bloemfontein Celtic and Cape Town City also ended scoreless at the Dr Petrus Rantlai Molemela Stadium in Mangaung.
