The COVID-19 pandemic has forced Bafana Bafana assistant coaches Cedomir Janevski and Helman Mkhalele to withdraw Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena from the national team ahead of Thursday’s international friendly match against Uganda.
Tau and Mokoena tested positive for COVID-19 something which resulted in their withdrawal from the match against the Cranes of Uganda. Sipho Mbule, who was Mokoena’s contact, has also been withdrawn from Bafana Bafana.
Bafana Bafana players assembled in Johannesburg ahead of the Cranes match. Cedomir and Mkhalele are going to be in charge in the absence of head coach Hugo Broos, who went to Belgium for his second jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Meanwhile, Mothobi Mvala, Mosa Lebusa and Rivaldo Coetzee will go for scans on minor knocks they picked up over the weekend.
