Royal AM’s no show continued when they failed to pitch for a third successive PSL promotion/relegation play-offs match, which was against Richards Bay FC at the Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay on Monday afternoon.
Royal AM pulled a similar stunt on Tuesday and Thursday last week when they were due to face Chippa United and the Natal Rich Boyz respectively.
Natal Rich Boyz players took the field on Monday as they were the only team at the stadium. The referee blew his whistle signalling that the match that never was was over.
Royal AM bosses are still angry after their court bid to interdict the play-offs failed. They are still fighting against Sekhukhune United’s automatic promotion from the GladAfrica Championship to the Premier Division.
Arbitrator Hilton Epstein awarded Sekhukhune United three points after Polokwane City had failed to have five Under-23 South African players in their match day squad earlier this year.
