Zambian midfielder Enock Mwepu completed his move from Austrian Bundesliga champions Red Bull Salzburg to Brighton and Hove Albion in the English Premier League on Tuesday.
The Lusaka-born Chipolopolo star signed a four-year contract with manager Graham Potter’s team.
“We’re delighted to be able to welcome Enock to the club and are looking forward to working with him,” Potter said on the Brighton website.
“He has a great deal of experience for somebody his age including the Champions League and international football. He’s primarily a central midfielder although he is capable of playing in numerous positions, is open-minded, adaptable and very keen to learn and develop. He will add competition to our existing options in that area of the squad going into the new season.”
The 23-year-old Mwepu played 29 league games and scored five goals for Salzburg last season.
