Ethan Brooks believes that wins from back-to-back matches against Ethiopia will be crucial in Bafana Bafana’s push for a place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.
Bafana Bafana face the Ethiopians away on Wednesday, 6 October, and then at home four days later.
“It’s vital that we get the six points. We will go to that game hoping to get the six points,” the TS Galaxy and Bafana Bafana midfielder said.
Bafana Bafana have four points after a win over Ghana’s Black Stars and a draw with Zimbabwe while the Ethiopians are on three points having beaten Zimbabwe and lost to Ghana.
Meanwhile, Brooks is grateful to Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos for believing in him.
“He made it easy for me the day before the match. He said I must play like I do at the club,” Brooks said referring to what Broos told him before their match against Ghana on Monday.
