Masamichi Yabuki stunned Kenshiro Teraji with a 10th round stoppage to win the World Boxing Council (WBC) junior-flyweight title in all-Japanese clash on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old Yabuki was ahead on points in all scorecards in a fight, which was held at the City Gym in Kyoto, Japan.

Kyoto-born Teraji, 29, was making his ninth defence of the title he won when he defeated Mexican Ganigan Lopez in 2017.

This was the first time Teraji lost in 19 fights (10 stoppages) while Yabuki has stretched his record to 13 wins with 12 knockouts and three losses.
