It seems as if there is no stopping Mamelodi Sundowns as they continued with their winning streak beating Orlando Pirates 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Saturday afternoon.

Namibian international Peter Shalulile scored both goals in the second half after the two sides had played to a goalless draw in the first 45 minutes. Shalulile, formerly with Highlands Park, netted his first goal in the 54th minute and completed his brace 18 minutes later to give the Brazilians the three points.

This was the Tshwane giants’ fifth clean sheet in five successive DStv Premiership matches and have, in the process, collected 13 points. Only Chippa United have so far managed to steal a point from the Brazilians this season having drawn 0-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha last month.

Meanwhile, coach Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu registered their win of the season when they beat Limpopo side Baroka FC 1-0 through in-form striker Bonginkosi Ntuli’s penalty at the King’s Park Stadium in Durban.
