Bafana Bafana are on the verge of reaching the final round of qualifiers after they beat Zimbabwe 1-0 in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier at the FNB Stadium in Nasrec, Johannesburg, on Thursday evening.
The only goal of the match was scored by Teboho Mokoena in the 26th minute. Mokoena rose high and headed in Keagan Dolly’s beautiful cross.
This was the SuperSport United midfielder’s second goal in these World Cup qualifiers.
Unbeaten Bafana Bafana have collected 13 points from four wins and a draw. Coach Hugo Broos’ boys face Ghana in their final qualifier away in Cape Coast on Sunday (21h00).
