Boxing people came in numbers to pay their last respects to fallen boxer Anthony Maloisane, who was laid to rest in Kroonstad, Free State, following a service at the Constancia Hall on Wednesday.

Maloisane, a former African Boxing Union (ABU) junior-lightweight champion, passed away after inhaling fumes following a braai on Christmas day.

The 30-year-old Maloisane won the ABU belt after he stopped Malawian Romeo Makwakwa in Kroonstad in December 2020. He last laced his gloves when he lost to Sibusiso Zingange in Johannesburg in September 2020.
