Judoka Michaela Whitebooi added another medal for Team SA as she won gold in the 48 kilograms on Monday evening.
Gqeberha- born Whitebooi defeated Shushila Devi Likmabam from India in the final. The 26-year-old Whitebooi, who is now based in Pretoria, started the sport at Booysen Park Judo Club.
Meanwhile, Charnel Griesel won a bronze medal in the 52kg contest with gymnast Caitlin Rooskrantz winning another bronze in the Women’s Uneven Bars.
