Chippa United launched a great second half fight back to draw 3-3 with Richards Bay FC in a DStv Premiership clash at the Milpark Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday afternoon.

The Natal Rich Boyz scored through Somila Ntsundwana and a Zuko Mdunyelwa own goal in the last three minutes of the first half.

Starting the second half with more purpose as they searched for their first goal, the Chilli Boys halved the deficit through Ronaldo Maarman’s goal in the 55th minute.

The Natal Rich Boyz increased their lead when Ntsundwana, who was born in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape, completed his brace in the 66th minute.

Ronald Fumbidzai gave hope when he pulled one back for the Eastern Cape side in the 76th minute to make it 3-2. Nigerian forward and Chilli Boys top goalscorer Etiosa Ighodaro equalised in the 77th minute. 

Meanwhile, TS Galaxy were held to a 1-1 draw by Sekhukhune United at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

Xola Mlambo gave the Rockets the lead when he pounced on a rebound after Babina Noko goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata had failed to handle Bernard Parker’s shot in the 27th minute.

Babina Noko equalised through Victor Letsoalo’s penalty in the 36th minute. Match referee Olani Kwinda awarded Babina Noko the penalty after Given Msimango had pushed Siyabulela Shai inside the box.
