Swallows FC earned a vital point after they drew 1-1 with SuperSport United in a DStv Premiership match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Sunday evening.
Lindokuhle Mtshali denied Matsatsantsa a Pitori the three points when he equalised for the Dube Birds in referee’s added time.
Matsatsantsa had taken the lead through their towering defender Thulani Hlatshwayo’s header in the 55th minute.
Coach Gavin Hunt’s team could have taken the lead in the 27th minute, but the ever-reliable Bradley Grobler shot wide off goals from the penalty spot.
Matsatsantsa were awarded the penalty after Swallows defender Yagan Sasman had fouled Thamsanqa Gabuza inside the box.
