Brazil have a date with Croatia after they booked themselves a spot in the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament currently underway in Qatar.

This followed after the South Americans emphatically whipped Korea Republic 4-1 in a last-16 clash at the Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar, on Monday evening.

Seven minutes into the match, the Brazilians took the lead with Vinicius Junior’s goal after he netted following a cross from Neymar Junior.

The Brazilians were awarded a penalty after Jung Woo-young fouled Richarlison inside the box. Neymar Junior stepped forward and scored from the penalty spot in the 13th minute to take his tally to 76 goals in a Brazil shirt.

The five-time world champions made it 3-0 in the 29th minute after Richarlison scored his 20th goal in a Brazil shirt. Lucas Paqueta netted the Samba Boys’ fourth goal in the 36th minute.

The Koreans finally found the back of the net when Paik Seung-ho beat Brazil goalkeeper Allison Becker from the edge of the box in the 76th minute.
