Australia’s Matildas moved to the semi-finals of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after they defeated France 7-6 Brisbane Stadium in Australia on Saturday.

The two sides played to a goalless draw in regulation time and forced play to go for an extra 30 minutes and still both teams failed to score in two hours of football.

The Matildas have made history because it’s the first time ever that an Australian team reached the semi-finals of the World Cup.
