Cape Town Spurs’ woes continued as they lost their third straight match after they were beaten 3-1 by Polokwane City in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

Oswin Appollis sent a rocket shot past Urban Warriors goalkeeper Zama Dlamini to give Rise n Shine the lead in the 15th minute. 

Rise n Shine increased their lead when Douglas Mapfumo netted in the 61st minute following a cross from second half substitute Stevens Goovadia. Appollis completed his brace when made it 3-0 from Goovadia’s pass in the 78th minute. 

The Urban Warriors’ consolation goal was scored by Khaya Mfecane, who came on as a substitute, 10 minutes before full-time.
