Cape Town City piled more pressure on their struggling neighbours Cape Town Spurs defeating them 2-0 in a DStv Premiership match at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Relebogile Mokhuoane’s beautiful goal gave the Citizens the lead in the 36th minute. And Jaedin Rhodes doubled the Citizens’ lead when he netted his fourth goal of the season a minute before full-time.

As a result of winning the derby, the Citizens have moved to second place on the Premiership standings with 29 points from 16 matches. On the other hand, the Urban Warriors are sitting at the foot of the table with only four points from 16 games.
