Landile ‘Man Down’ Ngxeke is wondering why Yanga Sigqibo, Sikho Nqothole and Sabelo Ngebiyana have suddenly developed an interest to fight against him after they ‘ran away’ from facing him when he was campaigning in the junior-bantamweight division.

Sigqibo, Nqothole and Ngebiyana have had a field day calling Ngxeke to a fight. And Ngxeke, a former South African junior-bantamweight titlist, has been surprised by their thirst to fight him now.

“Suddenly, all of them want to fight against me now. I’m even shocked that they are fighting in the bantamweight division now. The last time I checked Sigqibo and Nqothole were junior-bantamweight boxers. It’s worse with Sabelo because I know him as a junior-featherweight boxer. They are all calling me. I’m really not afraid of them,” Ngxeke said.

The reigning South African bantamweight champion from Sada in the Chris Hani District Municipality added: “The problem now is that none of them are rated in the top 10 in the South African bantamweight division. Maybe they are calling me because they are big names. Strangely, these guys ran away from fighting against me when I was in the junior-bantamweight. I wonder what has changed now. I can beat all of them in one day.”

Ngxeke, who turns 29 on the 19th of April, has not fought since he stopped Lusizo Manzana in the fourth round when they fought for the then vacant SA bantamweight title in December last year.
