Coach Steve Komphela’s impact at Lamontville Golden Arrows is being felt as Abafana Bes’thende defeated Richards Bay FC 2-1 in a DStv Premiership encounter at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammersdale on Saturday afternoon.

The home side took the lead from Nduduzo Sibiya’s goal two minutes before the half hour mark. 

Following persistent attacks, the Natal Rich Boyz equalised through Somila Ntsundwana four minutes before the half-time break. 

A 74th minute goal scored by Olwethu Ncube ensured that Abafana Bes’thende collected three points and won their second successive match since Komphela’s return to the team. 

Meanwhile, a merciless Stellenbosch FC whipped Royal AM 3-0 with goals from Devin Titus, Siphesihle Msomi own goal and Iqraam Rayners at the Danie Craven Stadium in the Cape Winelands.
