Unbeaten Khayelitsha-based Lwando Mgabi continued with his winning ways as he outpointed Gift Pilane at the Vibrant Sport Centre in Ottery, Cape Town, on Friday evening.

As a result of the points victory, Mgabi from Duncan Village in East London won the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Africa junior-bantamweight title. 

Mgabi has improved his professional record to six victories with two knockouts while Pilane dropped to six wins and eight losses. 

Meanwhile, Simamkele Tutsheni put on yet another impressive performance as she maintained her unbeaten record when she stopped Anam Xuza in the second round. 

Tutsheni has now registered six wins with three of those victories coming from stoppages while Xuza has lost all her three fights.
