Komani boxer Luvuyo Sizani’s opponent for his dream South African light-heavyweight title contest has been changed just over three months before the fight takes place.

Initially, Sizani was pencilled to face off against number two rated Tyrone Schaper from KwaZulu-Natal in July. Now the opponent has been changed to Vuyani Kosana from Free State.

“We are not fighting against Tyrone Schaper anymore. We are going to fight against Vuyani Kosana in July,” Sizani’s trainer Baba ‘Babes’ Makala revealed.

Ilinge-born Sizani, who is the current African Boxing Union (ABU) SADC light-heavyweight champion, has won seven times and lost once.

His last fight was a first round stoppage loss to Jerome Pampellone from the United Kingdom in an International Boxing Federation (IBF) Intercontinental light-heavyweight title bout in Auckland, New Zealand, in August.

With four wins, two defeats and a draw, Kosana, meanwhile, last fought when he stopped Kagiso Hlungwani in the first round in Bloemfontein in December.
