Unbeaten Zimbabwean lass Monica Mkandla wil lace her gloves yet again after almost a year when she trades blows with Mercy Acayo from Uganda next month.
Having last fought in July, the 24-year-old Zimbabwean boxer faces Acayo in a vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Pan-African female bantamweight title contest on Friday, 24 May.
This fight between the two female boxers, which is promoted by Elias Tshabalala’s Fantastic 2 Boxing Promotions, is going to be held at the Kliprivierberg Recreation Centre in Kibler Park.
Currently, Mkandla from Gwanda in Zimbabwe has won all her five fights while Acayo has five wins and four defeats.
