Mamelodi Sundowns returned to the top of the Betway Premiership table following a 1-0 win over Polokwane City at the Seshego Stadium in Polokwane on Wednesday evening.
Chilean Marcelo Allende scored the only goal of the match in the 62nd minute from a Lebogang Mothiba pass. Mothiba had an opportunity to increase the lead, but he failed to a convert a penalty in the 75th minute after Khulumani Ndamane had been fouled inside the box
Meanwhile, Siwelele FC whipped Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 in another Betway Premiership encounter held at the Free State Stadium in Mangaung.
Playing in front of his home fans, Bloemfontein-born Tebogo Potsane gave Siwelele the lead in the seventh minute. And Siwelele increased the lead through Siphesihle Jeza’s goal in the 26th minute.
