Just their first season back in the Premier Division, Durban City lifted the Nedbank Cup trophy after they came from behind to defeat TS Galaxy 2-1 in the final played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday evening.
The Rockets led 1-0 at the end of the first half following a 43rd minute own goal scored by City forward Jean Lwamba Lubumba.
City defender Mfanafuthi Mkhize equalised for the Kwa-Zulu-Natal side 13 minutes into the second half. And Lwamba Lubumba made amends for scoring an own goal as he gave City the lead with a curler in the 72nd minute.
