Bottom club TS Galaxy are making an effort to ensure that they are fully equipped when DStv Premiership action resumes next month.
The Rockets have added Shane Roberts from Cape Town City on a six-month deal as they prepare for the final push of the season. Roberts joined the Rockets just after they signed former Maritzburg United and Black Leopards midfielder Lefa Hlongwane.
“We are very delighted to have Shane on board. He is a player that we rate highly,” Rockets president Tim Sukazi remarked.
Meanwhile, Rockets coach Sead Ramovic is happy with the addition of the 23-year-old Roberts.
“I’m happy with the acquisition of Shane. He will add a much-needed value to our midfield,” German-born Ramovic said.
The Cape Town-born midfielder is overjoyed and looking forward to making an impact at the Rockets.
“I’m excited to join TS Galaxy FC. This is a new chapter in my career. I want to help the club improve its league position. I aim to assist the club progress. We have to get the club to where it belongs,” Roberts said.
“This is a new challenge and I’m ready to embrace it. For me, it is the new province and climate. I’m here to express new things with the club. I’m happy to be where I am right now. I’m looking forward to spending my time with the Rockets and I’m here to stay.”
