The Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has shown its support to Indomitable Lions coach Rigobert Song’s decision to temporarily suspend first choice goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The 26-year-old Onana was dropped from the Indomitable Lions’ team, which drew 3-3 draw with Serbia on Monday afternoon. Devis Epassy kept goals for Cameroon.
Apparently, Onana was dealt with following a breach of disciplinary regulations after disagreements with the Indomitable Lions’ technical team.
“The Cameroon Football Federation reiterates its full support to the head coach and his entire staff as they had implemented the federation’s policy aimed at preventing discipline, solidarity, complementarity and cohesion within the national team,” a FECAFOOT statement said on Monday evening.
