Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns have announced the appointment of Paul Cardoso as their new head of academy.
The defending DStv Premiership champions made this announcement on Thursday morning.
“Paulo will be leading and running the Mamelodi Sundowns Development Academy as the club strives to produce the best possible footballers with a holistic approach to the individuals and making sure that school-education will be at the highest level for the academy players,” Sundowns said in a statement.
Cardoso, who joins the Brazilians from Brazilians side Fluminense FC where he served as a youth consultant, has international experience from various countries. He has worked in Portugal, Bulgaria, Australia, China and even here in South Africa where he was part of the KZN Football Academy.
