The emergency committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in conjunction with FIFA, haa postponed the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
The qualifiers were due to be played in June and the postponement was decided upon following considerations into the current challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to ensure optimal playing conditions for all participating teams.
The qualifiers will now be played in the existing windows of September, October and November 2021 as well as March 2022.
Bafana Bafana, who are going to be coached by Belgian Hugo Broos, are in Group G with Zimbabwe, Ghana and Ethiopia.
