Stanley Nwabali will be released any time by Chippa United should there be any club, locally or abroad, that needs his services and also offers him what he is worth.
This was the assurance coming from Chilli Boys chairman Siviwe ‘Chippa’ Mpengesi as the 27-year-old goalkeeper has been linked with moves since he did well at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast between January and February this year.
“We are talking to people abroad. We also believe that he needs something better, especially the performance he showed at the AFCON. So, if an opportunity comes, especially abroad, even if it’s local, and the offer for him is better, we are not going to hold on to him,” Mpengesi said.
Nwabali missed Saturday’s 2-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs at the Buffalo City Stadium in East London on Saturday afternoon because he was serving a one match suspension after collecting four yellow cards. Darren Johnson kept goals for the Chilli Boys during the match.
