AmaZulu overcame a 10-man Cape Town City in a DStv Premiership match at a deserted Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Second half substitute Junior Sede Dion scored the only goal of the match in the 71st minute as Usuthu were helped by the wind in the second half.
The Citizens were reduced to 10 men as early as the 26th minute when match referee Moses Kheswa gave defender Keanu Cupido the red card.
Meanwhile, football fans were earlier on Sunday begged against coming to the stadium because of terrible weather in Cape Town.
