The nomadic life of former South African champion Nhlanhla ‘Mount Kilimanjaro’ Tyirha has continued as he’s on the move yet again after he bolted out of Mla Tengimfene’s All Winners Boxing Gym in Mdantsane earlier this month.

Ink Sport has been told that the erstwhile SA junior-flyweight titlist is set to move to Cape Town where he will join 9th South African Infantry (SAI) Boxing Club in Khayelitsha.

Tyirha is fresh from avenging last year’s stoppage loss to George Kandulo as he outpointed the Malawian during their fight at the Orient Theatre in East London in August.

“I left All Winners three weeks ago because I couldn’t come to an agreement with Bro Mla over certain things,” Mdantsane-born Tyirha said.

Contacted for comment, Tengimfene said: “There was no problem between us. He sent me a voice note saying that he wss going back to Shakes (Hlombe). I had no problem with that. I’m happy that I managed to get him a fight. I have nothing against him. We wish him all the best.”

Already, Tyirha has gym hopped and changed stables more than three times this year. He’s been to the stables of Phumzile Matyhila, Vusi Mtolo, Simphiwe Vetyeka and Baba Makala. – Monwabisi Jimlongo
