Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams’ exploits at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament held in Ivory Coast won him two gongs at the CAF Awards function in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday evening.
The 32-year-old Bafana captain, who was born in Gqeberha, won the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year and CAF Men’s Interclub Player of the Year awards.
On the other hand, AFCON-winning coach Emerse Faé, who led Ivory Coast to glory ealier this year, won the CAF Men’s Coach of the Year award while TP Mazembe mentor Lamia Boumehdi walked away with the Women’s Coach of the Year gong.
