Rihan Richards is the new president of Cricket South Africa (CSA) after he was elected to the position unopposed during a CSA annual general meeting in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Initially, there were two candidates – Richards and Donovan May from Eastern Cape. However, May withdrew his nomination paving the way for Richards to be elected CSA president unopposed. May was then elected unopposed as CSA vice-president.
Richards from Northern Cape Cricket acted as CSA president for eight months following Chris Nenzani’s resignation last year.
