Mamelodi Sundowns are going to face Egyptian side Al Ahly in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League following a goalless draw with Esperance Sportive de Tunis in quarter-final second leg match at Stade Olympique de Rades in Tunis, Tunisia, on Tuesday evening.
The Brazilians moved to the last four of the competition through an aggregate score after they defeated Esperance 1-0 from Peter Shalulile’s goal at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria last week.
The Tshwane giants survived some scary moments during the match, chief of which was when Achraf Jabri lobbed the ball over Ronwen Williams in the 63rd minute and thought he had equalised only for the video assistant referee (VAR) to rule him offside.
