Relegated Cape Town City confirmed the departure of nine senior players from the team on Saturday morning.
The Citizens have released Thabo Nodada, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Elson Sithole, Lorenzo Gordinho, Darwin Gonzalez, Haashim Domingo, Darren Keet, Fortune Makaringe and Thamsanqa Mkhize.
“Cape Town City can confirm the departure of the players who’ve worn the badge with pride and represented the club with heart. Each player leaves with our deepest thanks for the dedication and professionalism they showed during their years at the club. We wish them nothing, but success in the next chapter of their journey,” a Citizens statement said.
