Mamelodi Sundowns’ Lucas Ribeiro Costa from Brazil won the PSL Footballer of the Season award on Tuesday evening.
The South American won the award ahead of Relebohile Mofokeng from Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United’s Keletso Makgalwa.
It was a good evening for Ribeiro as he also took home the Players’ Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards.
And PSL chairman Irvin Khoza announced Mamelodi Sundowns as the recipients of the Chairman’s Award foollowing their performance at the Club World Cup in the United States of America (USA). They won one match, drew once and lost once.
Meanwhile, Mofokeng won the Betway Premiership Young Player of the Season and the MTN8 Last Man Standing awards.
