Orlando Pirates reached their fourth MTN8 final following a 4-1 win over Mamelodi Sundowns on penalties at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville West of Pretoria on Saturday afternoon.
This match was decided on spot kicks after the two sides had drawn 2-2 on aggregate in 90 minutes of football. The Buccaneers scored four penalties while the Tshwane giants netted once and missed twice.
The Brazilians led 1-0 at half-time through Iqraam Rayners’ 17th minute goal after Pirates defender Lebone Seema had cleared the ball straight to him.
And just like he did last week, Kamogelo Sebelebele scored again as he equalised for the Buccaneers in the 73rd minute following a pass from a Tshegofatso Mabasa assist.
