Favoured to win before the match, Egypt came from behind to defeat Zimbabwe’s Warriors 2-1 in a Group B Africa Cup of Nations encounter at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir, Morocco, on Monday evening.

The Warriors shocked the Pharaohs when they took the lead through Prince Dube’s goal in the 20th minute.

The Pharaohs’ forays into the Warriors’ territory finally bore fruits as they equalised when Omar Khaled Mohamed Marmoush scored in the 64th minute.

Just as Zimbabwe followers thought the Warriors would steal a point from the match, Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah popped in and netted Egypt’s winning goal in stoppage time.
