AmaZulu gave Chippa United a 5-1 hiding in a Betway Premiership match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday afternoon.
After searching for the opening goal, the Eastern Cape side scored first when Azola Matrose registered his name in the score sheet in the 35th minute.
Nine minutes later, Athini Maqokolo headed in Asanda Mzobe’s cross to level matters for Usuthu and Sphamandla Zikhali gave the Durban side the lead in referee’s added time.
Maqokolo completed his brace in the 84th minute and Thapelo Matlhoko netted the fourth goal five minutes later. Second half substitute Thabiso Kutumela hammered the final nail into the Chilli Boys’ coffin in the dying minutes of the match.
