Three-time world champion Simphiwe ‘V12’ Vetyeka is revving up for a come back to the ring.
Vetyeka, 40, wants to defy age and make a spectacular return and fight again.
The former World Boxing Association (WBA) ‘Super’ featherweight, International Boxing Organisation (IBO) featherweight and bantamweight titlist is trained by erstwhile SA flyweight champion Ncedo Cecane and Khangelani Jack in Mdantsane.
“I’m busy with training and I’m 100 percent okay. I’m ready to fight any time,” Vetyeka, who wants to campaign in the lightweight division, said.
Vetyeka has not fought since his win over Thompson Mokwana in a vacant World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa lightweight title fight in April 2018.
Almost a fortnight after facing Mokwana, Vetyeka broke his legs when he was hit by a car in Amalinda, East London.
