United States-based South African boxer DeeJay ‘Bhamuza’ Kriel will have to wait a little longer before returning to the ring.
This follows after the former International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimumweight champion’s fight against Juan ‘Pinky’ Alejo from Mexico was postponed.
Saturday’s fight, which was going to be held at the Juan Francisco Estrada Gymnasium in Mexico, was postponed after former world title contender Alejo, who lost all his last four fights, tested positive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Kriel has not fought since his stoppage loss to IBF junior-flyweight titlist Felix Alvarado from Nicaragua in January this year.
