RAUCOUS WELCOME FOR TRIUMPHANT SUNDOWNS LADIES
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies, who are the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League winners, received a warm welcome when they returned home from Egypt on Sunday morning.
The Sundowns Ladies defeated Hasaacas Ladies from Ghana 2-0 in the CAF Women’s Champions League final played at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, on Friday evening.
Chuene Mofiri and Andisiwe Mgcoyi scored in each half to give the Tshwane side the deserved win. Sundowns Ladies were brilliant throughout the tournament and it was no wonder that they won it in the end.
