Chippa United defender Frédéric Nsabiyumva is feeling bad about the Gqeberha-based club’s poor run, which has seen them struggling to collecting points.
With time fast running out, Nsabiyumva hopes things are going to change when the Chilli Boys face an in-form Lamontville Golden Arrows in a DStv Premiership match at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha on Sunday afternoon.
“As you see we are going through tough times. We are going to face a good team, which is Golden Arrows. What I can tell you is that we are ready. We need to step up. We need to win games,” Nsabiyumva, who turns 26 on Monday, said.
The Eastern Cape club have had a very bad run failing to collect maximum points in their last 10 matches. The Chilli Boys, who last won when they defeated Black Leopards 3-0 three months ago, are desperate for points as they want to move away from 15th position on the Premiership table.
“It’s tough going 10 league games without a win. But I think it’s time to focus on league games. Three points is important. All these remaining games are like finals,” Bujumbura-born Nsabiyumva said.
